We try our very best to make the sauna as inclusive as possible. However, due to the nature of the sauna there are some reasons why you might not be able to use our saunas. All persons using the sauna do so at their own risk. If you have any reservations regarding sauna use, such as medical conditions, underlying health problems, the use of prescription drugs or pregnancy, it is essential that you consult your GP before making a booking.
Our horsebox sauna holds a maximum of 8 people.
Our community sauna sessions are open to all and unless you book the full capacity during your time slot you will be sharing the sauna with others. Don't fear though, we've found the sauna a great place to make new friends. Of course, if you'd prefer some privacy, please get in touch for private sessions
Facilities at our location are fairly limited so we recommend coming appropriately dressed for your sauna session and removing jewellery at home. We do not have any formal changing facilities however there is a pop shelter situated next to the sauna and boxes available where you can store your clothes and belongings. Please leave any valuables at home or in your car as we cannot take responsibility for your items. The sauna has hooks to hang your robes and towels. There are public toilets very close by, located at Caffa Mill Car Park on Station Road PL23 1DF, next to the slipway – these toilets cost 20p.
Cold dip, not swim: Guests may dip only, not swim, in the small designated area next to the sauna. Stay within the marked zone and within your depth at all times.Listen to your body: If you feel lightheaded, breathless, confused, or unwell, leave the water and sit or lie down. Tell the Sauna Guide immediately.Shared space, shared care: Be aware of others entering and leaving the water. No pushing, splashing, or playful behaviour that could unbalance someone in cold water.Water quality & conditions: river conditions are checked and we may suspend dipping if flow, debris, or pollution make it unsafe.Gather & Glo reserve the right to stop dipping for any guest if you’re concerned about their safety.
